"While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see."

Dorothea Lange, 1895-1965. American documentary photographer and photojournalist.

Messaging is a powerful non-verbal expression of thoughts and emotions.

This exhibit introduces more than 120 images from dozens of countries over six continents and asks the viewer to embrace the moment in time the messaging was created. From ancient hieroglyphics to contemporary depictions, the gallery walls will be filled with many types of messages.

Presentations

Below are two available presentations. Each runs about an hour and can be accommodated to fit the time frame of your program.

The Voices From Vietnam presentation covers a wide range of subjects but concentrates on stories of those whose lives were profoundly effected by the war.

The African Birds ‘n Beasts program has two parts. The first uses photos to illustrate environmental concerns related to the current conditions in Africa today. The second part showcases a variety of animals, birds and reptiles, using photographs and African music.
